Atlantic Beach Links Golf Course
Enjoy our Championship Links style Golf Course with its traditional style and a breeze off the ocean. The views of Table Mountain are spectacular.

On calm days you can play your normal lofted shot or on windy days you can use the firm turf to play low running shots, beneath the wind. Either way, we are sure you will enjoy the challenge around this 18-hole golf course. Atlantic Beach Links Golf Course has been built with a serious commitment to the preservation of the indigenous fauna and flora.

You may well be sharing the fairway with a beautiful Springbok or two, as they roam majestically around the course. Compared to other golf courses in Cape Town, on completion of your 18 holes around our course you will agree that it is the combination of good golf in unsurpassed natural surroundings that make Atlantic Beach's Links Golf Course a unique golfing experience.

Clovelly Golf Course
Clovelly Golf Course has always been one of the most popular and visited courses in the Western Cape. Clovelly was designed by Dr Charles Molteno Murray, one of the best known golf architects of his day, and he certainly made it challenging.

Famous for its rolling fairways and undulating holes, Clovelly complements its rich coastal environment. There are natural sand dunes as well as water features and a wide variety of indigenous fauna - especially bird life such as guinea fowl, pheasant, peacock and steppe buzzard - and flora, notably the variety of trees which line the fairways. Clovelly has championship-quality greens and tight fairways by South African standards.

There are a fine number of testing holes, with the Silvermine River, and adjacent small lakes adding much to the character. It is nestled in the pristine and tranquil Silvermine Valley close to Fish Hoek. Clovelly offers its members and visitors a memorable experience. Clovelly - like fine Cape wines - improves steadily with age, and its vintage and quality is well established throughout South Africa, and indeed, beyond our shores. This reputation is founded on the warmth of Clovelly's "family" character.

Royal Cape Golf Course
With lovely views of Table Mountain from most holes this championship course offers a beautiful setting that will make your visit here truly memorable. Royal Cape Golf Club is a true championship course having hosted the South African Open no less than ten times and the SA Amateur Championships eight times.

The most recent SA Open held here was in 1996 and was won by Ernie Els. Extensive work was done on the greens in 2000 to bring them up to the USGA standards and the course today is a fine test of golf and worthy of its championship rating. Essentially it is a flat parkland course, well maintained and a pleasure to play with lovely views of the surrounding mountains. But don't be deceived by its apparent easiness. The fairways are narrow, demanding extreme accuracy off the tee, wayward shots can be heavily penalized amongst the trees and the greens are well bunkered.

There is also plenty of water on the course. The 4th and 15th are beautiful par-3's, the 15th in particular requiring a finely judged shot over the water which encroaches right up to the edge of the green. The most difficult holes are the par-4 3rd, at 435m the longest two-shotter on the course, and the par-4 14th, a dog-leg right with water guarding the right front and side of the green.

Steenberg Golf Course
Steenberg was designed and built by one of South Africa's leading golf course architects, Peter Matkovich. The golf course has been designed to take full advantage of natural features and hazards. The design of the central clubhouse is harmonious with the historic architecture of the estate. The 18 hole championship golf course meanders leisurely through the Steenberg vineyards, pine forests and gentle waterways.

The course features four distinct areas: Wetlands, Parklands, The Cape Flats and Fynbos. With five different tees, the course can be enjoyed by all, from championship to junior level. Many golfers envy the superb condition of this soft spike course and it is widely renowned for having the best greens in Cape Town. There are also a number of practice areas, including a driving range, chipping area with sand traps and a large putting green. The first six holes of the course meander through gentle, manicured parkland where, in some instances, tee shots will be played off raised tee boxes amongst the vines.

The course then moves into the wetlands, which includes the testing par-three 7th hole played to a green surrounded by water. It then enters the Heathland section where white sands "islanding" the fairways are a natural hazard. The round is completed under the splendour of stately oaks. Steenberg (which means 'Mountain of Stone') has proved to be one of South Africa's most successful new golf developments. This is no doubt due to the location, but also to the attention to detail both on and off the golf course.
